Vanessa Lea Bergstreser is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care with a focus on whole-person wellness. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs where she also obtained a Bachelor of Art in Psychology. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Colorado State University in Pueblo.

Following her education, Vanessa returned to Colorado State University to serve as a clinical instructor for nursing students.

Vanessa’s clinical experience spans a wide range of healthcare settings. She has experiences as a palliative and primary care Nurse Practitioner. In her past she worked at the Children’s Hospital Colorado as a pediatric nurse. She also served as a nurse on multiple hospital units in the CommenSpirit network. She gained extensive experience in orthopedic and neurological spine care, renal disease, neurological, surgical, and cardiac care. Her Public Health background includes serving in the Immunization Clinic at El Paso County Department of Public Health.

In addition to her primary care training, Vanessa is certified as both an Adult and Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), providing specialized, compassionate care for vulnerable patients in critical situations.

Her advanced clinical training includes pediatric and adult primary care, women’s health, palliative care, and pain management medicine. She also completed hormone replacement, and weight management training.
